While that little button marked “PRTSC” on the upper-right-hand-corner of a computer keyboard may seem like the best way to capture the information on a computer screen, there are a number of other tools which provide similar – but more functional – support. A number of cross-platform and single-platform tools are available, with some of the best being:
- Evernote. This multi-platform tool runs on Windows, Mac, iPhone, Windows Mobile, and websites.
- WebKut. Developed with Adobe Air, this is another great tool for capturing screen information.
- Screenshot Captor. Run your screen capture from a USB thumbdrive!
There are literally dozens (if not hundreds) of screen capture tools out there, and many are free to download. The folks over at www.hongkiat.com have pulled together a list of their favorites.
