The 5 Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace Book Review

CXRE » Commercial Property Management » The 5 Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace Book Review

Each month GreenEfficient’s corporate staff reads a book or two that we then discuss as a team. We read a variety of team leadership and time management books that are meant to increase our productivity and success. For June, one of the books we read was The 5 Languages of Appreciation in the Work Place by Gary Chapman and Paul White. This book is great for learning how to interact with your employees and how to make them feel appreciated.

The five languages that were mentioned are:

  • Words of Affirmation
  • Quality Time
  • Acts of Service
  • Tangible Gifts
  • Physical Touch

Each employee likes a different kind of appreciation. Some of them enjoy all and others only one. Once we read this book we were able to discover what makes each of our employees feel the most appreciated.  After reading this book we then discovered that they had a website where I found the video below. http://www.appreciationatwork.com/

We hope you find our monthly book, The 5 Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace, as helpful as we did. Let us know what your favorite books are in the comments below.
