The Road Map to Getting Tasks Completed

CXRE » Lifestyle » The Road Map to Getting Tasks Completed

We all have those tasks we need to get done, but for some reason or other we never do.  We tell ourselves we will do them later but other things always seem to get in the way. Know that you are not alone and this is a problem shared by most people. Our company has implemented an effective plan to help us get the job done. Because of its success, we want to share our road map to getting tasks completed.
Start by making a list of things that need to get done. Include everything that is on your mind, anything that needs attention. These things could be writing your next blog, making a doctor’s appointment or going to the store.
The next step, once your list is complete, is to prioritize your tasks. Do you really need to go to the store today or do you have something more important that needs to be done first?
Now you are ready to set time estimates on how long it will take you to complete each task. Be realistic when setting these times. For some tasks you want to set a minimum and maximum time limit.  For example, brain storming new ideas, you might want a time limit where you brain storm for at least 30 minutes but not longer than an hour.
When your time estimates are established you are ready to assign completion dates to all your tasks.
After a task is completed mark it off your list.  When all is said and done, and you have completed your tasks the way you set it up, reward yourself.
If at the end of the day you find yourself not getting your tasks done, then you need to reevaluate your plan. Know yourself and know what you can and can’t get done in a specified time frame.  Do not overload yourself, or your schedule, with unattainable deadlines. You will wear yourself out trying to keep up and eventually give up in frustration. To help you get started download our Getting Tasks Completed Check List!
